03.06.12: Rogers did this before and it was unencumbered.
An email just arrived today from Rogers ... for high speed users only.
As of March 8th, speed up to 28Mbps and usage up to 120GB/mo!
The competition must be preparing or already improved their service.
Isn't free enterprise wonderful!
capitalism wonderful.
Maybe they are trying to make up for their dreadful cable service. I had 3 PVRs in a year. Looked like HW problems so they said go get a replacment each time. You lose your recorded programs when you do that. In a recent incident the tech told me that the symptoms I had previously stated were due to Rogers making changes that were causing problems and not multiple PVRs with excatly the same problems. I missed recoding 1/2the season premiers in the fall and lost a lot of recorded stuff.
ReplyDeleteMore recenly they rolled out a new service with new guides and menus. If you have cataracts you might find some of it hard to read. They've had lots of complaints from an aging population. The rollout has caused me lots of service issues, and i'm not alone....there are days when you have 1/2hr wait to their help desk. They obviously have no change control and there is no backout procedure. I asked for the old menus back....they say it is possible, but about 8 calls to differnt techs couldn't make it happen. Same results..nothing! They don't even teach their techs properly, or give them a script to follow...they all had differnt stories about the rollout. They gave me 2 month HBO for free.....a poor substitute for good service. R Dudley
